a few Puzzles, Mazes, and Sudoku

October 1, 2010

1. what is the minimum height of a mirror that lets you see a full head-to-toe view of yourself? (“relatively speaking”)

2. Two identical wooden wheels carry a 10 lb weight. One weight is a disk at the center of the wheel; the other weight is a ring attached near the rim of the other wheel. If the wheels are released at the same time down an inclined plane (a ramp), which will reach the bottom first?

Mazes

A maze will test a person’s “if-else” logic.

Get your car to the garage, marked with an X, avoiding the potholes as you go.

this maze has the illusion of changing planes of view though it is categorized as easy:

I think this honeycomb maze is harder because the holes from one cell to the next are relatively small

The rules of sudoku

  1. Every row of 9 numbers must include all digits 1 through 9 in any order
  2. Every column of 9 numbers must include all digits 1 through 9 in any order
  3. Every 3 by 3 subsection of the 9 by 9 square must include all digits 1 through 9

The question is not can you do it, but
“How fast can you finish it?”

There are 2 here to try out.

Do a print-screen and try one.
It should only take a few minutes.
