“I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” – Thomas Jefferson
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.” – Thomas Jefferson
The real truth of the matter is,as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson… – Franklin D. Roosevelt
“I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country … corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war.” – Abraham Lincoln
“The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity.” – Abraham Lincoln
“Issue of currency should be lodged with the government and be protected from domination by Wall Street. We are opposed to…provisions [which] would place our currency and credit system in private hands.” – Theodore Roosevelt
Despite these warnings, Woodrow Wilson signed the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. A few years later he wrote: “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.” – Woodrow Wilson
“Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.” – Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744-1812), founder of the House of Rothschild.
“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and money system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” – Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company.
“The study of money, above all other fields in economics, is one in which complexity is used to disguise truth or to evade truth, not to reveal it. The process by which banks create money is so simple the mind is repelled. With something so important, a deeper mystery seems only decent.” – John Kenneth Galbraith (1908-2006), ambassador and former professor of economics at Harvard, writing in ‘Money: Whence it came, where it went’ (1975).
“My next encounter with the suppression phenomenon happened about a year later. It involved a female friend of mine who said that a man she knew had invented a lawnmower that ran on water.
“Skeptical but excited, I said I wanted to meet this man.
“My friend got back to me a few days later, very upset. It turns out that the water-powered lawnmower’s inventor had recently opened his front door to a shotgun blast in the face.

Ron Brandt invented a 90-mpg carburetor. He was paid a visit by a man from Standard Oil, another man, and two men wearing US Marshal uniforms. They told him that if he ever made another carburetor, they would kill him, his wife, and two young children. He was quickly persuaded that his life wasn’t worth a “damn” carburetor. He happened to think to memorize the badge numbers of the two US Marshals and so had an attorney in Washington, DC check with the US Marshal’s office. They had no record of the two badge numbers
A recent report by human rights organization Global Witness documents the murders of more than 700 environmental and indigenous-rights activists over the past decade – more than one killing a week, on average.
We are not the problem. We have been inventing things that were and are of great benefit to everyone – to our entire planet – and some of us have been killed for it. If a person speaks out against the corruption and violence, they may be killed for it.
High praise for those who have tried to improve life on this planet – both those who survived and the dead.
Some of the biggest and richest multi-national corporations appear to be the worst enemy of everyone and everything on our planet. They have no intention of loosing their position of power and control. The “New Age” is not going to happen if they can stop it. If that means global catastrophe fine, they may even think that they have the power to personally survive it.
The ultra-wealthy have seen their incomes absolutely explode over the past three decades. Meanwhile, the U.S. middle class has been steadily declining and the ranks of the poor have been swelling. … Today, gigantic corporations and “too big to fail” banks totally dominate our economic system. The whole game is rigged. Our system is now designed to funnel wealth ($) away from the bottom 90 percent of the population and into the pockets of the ultra-wealthy. – Michael Snyder, on December 1st, 2011
Redistribution of Wealth
A recent study found that the capital gains tax cut, which benefits the wealthy but does virtually nothing for everyone else, was “by far” the biggest driver in the growth of American income inequality.
… pay for chief executives increased 127 times faster than worker pay over the last 30 years, and official data has shown worker wages stagnating since the 1970s. That has led to a sharp increase in American income inequality, which now rivals rates from countries like the Ivory Coast and Pakistan.
Income for the bottom 90 percent of Americans rose by just $59 from 1966 to 2011, adjusted for inflation. Yet the rich have gotten richer: 121 percent of total income gains between 2009 and 2011 went to the top one percent of earners.
Bush turned down repeated requests by consumer groups for the Federal Trade Commission to investigate price gouging by oil and gas companies, despite a March 2001 FTC finding that companies hoarded gasoline to drive up prices and boost profits, costing consumers billions of dollars.
Nikola Tesla gave us the ac electric motor, radio, radio control, radar, phase-array radar, and much more, royalty free! [he would have become the richest man in the world!] He survived an 1895 attempt on his life; many of his inventions and his property destroyed, maligned, financially cheated, his radio patent stolen, the second attempt on his life was successful – murdered in 1943 (covered up by the Feds “for national security reasons”), many of his achievements are still unmentioned today.
A motor run solely by magnets was originally suggested by Nikola Tesla in 1905.
Today: “Engineers of Hitachi Magnetics Corp. of California have stated that a motor run solely by magnets is feasible and logical but the politics of the matter make it impossible for them to pursue developing a magnet motor or any device that would compete with the energy cartels.”

Patents for solar photovoltaic generators were subject to review and possible restriction if the photovoltaics were more than 20% efficient. Energy conversion systems were likewise subject to review and possible restriction if they offered conversion efficiencies “in excess of 70-80%.”
The current list of technology areas that is used to screen patent applications for possible restriction under the Invention Secrecy Act is not publicly available and has been denied under the Freedom of Information Act.

Not proprietary, no patents, no royalties, openly shared – and progress accelerates.
When Feng Zhang was in graduate school, he discovered that the tools for splicing new genes into living cells were costly, time-consuming, and proprietary. Unhappy with that reality, he made his own tools and shared them with other scientists. They dramatically sped up the study of genetics and disease.

The Last Mystery of the Financial Crisis
It’s long been suspected that ratings agencies like Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s helped trigger the meltdown. A new trove of embarrassing documents shows how they did it . . .
Everybody else got plenty of blame: the greed-fattened banks, the sleeping regulators, the unscrupulous mortgage hucksters like spray-tanned Countrywide ex-CEO Angelo Mozilo.
But what about the ratings agencies? Isn’t it true that almost none of the fraud that’s swallowed Wall Street in the past decade could have taken place without companies like Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s rubber-stamping it? Aren’t they guilty, too?
Man, are they ever. And a lot more than even the least generous of us suspected.

It has taken the earth 25,868 years to visit all 12 signs of the zodiac. [Aquarius is the first sign of the zodiac] If you divide 25,868 by 12 signs, you will get roughly 2,100 years to a particular “age”. Thus, once the Age of Aquarius is upon us (and many astrologers, myself included, feel we have reached this point) it will stay the Age of Aquarius for two thousand years. The “precession of the zodiac” … is due to a slight wobble in the earth’s rotation … [and] describes the constellation that lies behind the Sun at the vernal equinox, which changes gradually over time. …

Modern Mayan shamans and calendar specialists known as “day keepers” will tell you that the end of their ancient calendar is not the end of time, but the moment when humanity will be given the opportunity to make a cosmic leap into a “next-level” of higher awareness and consciousness. This sounds thematically identical to what we’ve heard about the Age of Aquarius, and just so happens to occur within the same cosmic moment! It should be noted here as well that, while the Aquarian Age has come to define a type of thinking, it is nonetheless a scientific, astronomical measurement of time. Each age of the zodiac lasts approximately 2,000 years, and we are currently in the final days of Pisces and entering Aquarius.
To participate in this “shifting of the ages,” what matters most is your desire, your vision, and your conduct.

Our Energy Predicament
Posted by Gail; the Actuary, on March 27, 2013
With the benefit of fossil fuel energy, humans (as well as their cows, pigs, goats, chickens, dogs and cats) have been able to survive in far greater numbers than other species. In fact, paleobiologists tell us that the Sixth Mass Extinction has begun, thanks to humans. At some point, interdependencies are disturbed, and we can expect more population collapses.
Oil price spikes lead to recession. Economist James Hamilton has shown that ten out of the most recent 11 US recessions were associated with oil price spikes. When oil prices rise, food prices tend to rise at the same time. Consumers cut back on discretionary spending, because fuel for commuting and the price of food are necessities. This cutback in spending leads to layoffs in the discretionary sector and recession.
I also discovered a disturbing connection between high oil prices and flattening or declining wages.
Past Inventions Suppressed; Current Attempts
Alternatively, for detailed instructions on how to make your vehicle extremely fuel efficient with just a bottle and some hose ( to run your car on fumes ) see our page
1 inch diam. vinyl tubing = $3/ft
Where it comes to fossil fuel, there are enough documented cases of greed, harassment, arrest, financial-ruin, and murder to be convinced that, the oil cartel/conglomerates would only have been super-trumped, by an inventor with something so simple that anyone could build it, who cares more about mankind, than getting rich, and who makes the knowledge so public so quickly they can’t stop it.
A different example is Tesla Motors. It has already built 1,500+ all-electric sports cars, the Tesla Roadster, that travels 200 to 250+ miles on a charge. Tesla, at the Jan. 15-23 2011 Detroit Auto Show, has shown a prototype of a family sedan that will go 300+ miles on a charge, the same distance as every gas-guzzler on the road today, and fully re-charge in 45 minutes (NOT 8 hours!). It’s enough to prove that we don’t need any more hybrids, but all the other car makers keep showing concepts of hybrids that don’t even come close to what Tesla Motors is accomplishing.
Organized Crime in the Bush Whitehouse
“As founder of the Zapata Offshore Oil Co. Bush cares a great deal [about Kuwait], being as how Zapata drilled the first well off Kuwait.”
– The Journals, in chap. 16, by R. T. Stone
Indeed, the Bush administration’s final flurry was just part of [the climax of] an eight-year campaign to gut public safeguards in service to corporate special interests and right-wing ideology. As a result of these actions, the nation’s air and water are less healthy, consumers and investors are more likely to be defrauded, food and other products are less safe, workers are at greater risk of being injured or killed, and public land is being degraded by rampant mining and drilling.
A few other presidents have been incompetent but, Bush deliberately deceived the people he was sworn to protect while he systematically endeavored to and nearly did destroy every law written to protect and defend us from disease, injury and, death at the hands of corporate thugs.
Corporate Control of American Democracy
Re-distribution of wealth in the US
Only the very rich have gotten richer, (see “400 richest Americans’ incomes doubled under Bush” ) all the rest of us have gotten poorer. What little we have is being re-distributed to the rich.
… “in Newfoundland, I was told by a marine biologist that there was a fad not long ago of a strict “tuna only” weight-loss diet. Some people got deathly sick and almost died. One woman had such a toxic overload that, within a very few days of beginning this diet, she had to be hospitalized for mercury poisoning.
– 2009, Hardy Jones, former CBS News journalist, in Beyond the Matrix – by Patricia Cori
A main source of mercury pollution in America, as well as asthma-provoking ozone and particulates, is the coal-burning power plants that President Bush excused from complying with the Clean Air Act. [!] … Acid rain from Midwestern coal plants has already sterilized half the lakes in the Adirondacks and destroyed the forest cover in the high peaks of the Appalachian range up into Canada. – R.F.Kennedy

A recent study concluded that coal emissions contribute to 10,000 premature deaths in the United States each year. And coal is by far the largest single source of greenhouse gases in the U.S.
A stunning new article in the journal Science should once and for all kill the myth of “clean coal.” The 11-author study, “Mountaintop Mining Consequences” is an analysis of “current peer-reviewed studies and of new water-quality data from WV [West Virigina] streams.” Now we know it isn’t viable from an environmental or human health perspective.

The GOP’s ‘War On Coal’ Myth, Brought To You By Millions In Coal Cash
Backed by a pile of corporate polluter cash, House Republicans and the Romney campaign have … waged a messaging campaign to oppose safeguards for public health against air pollution.
The GOP’s campaign is a giveaway to big polluters. It’s a plan that does nothing to move energy policy forward – only threatening public health:
Lives are at risk
One bill repeals mercury standards that prevent up to 11,000 premature deaths, 5,000 heart attacks, 130,000 asthma attacks, and 5,700 hospital visits annually.
Jobs are at risk
The health standards Republicans oppose create tens of thousands more jobs in the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of modern pollution reduction equipment. EPA protections against mercury would create a net 84,500 jobs by 2015, according to the Economic Policy Institute.
Our health is at risk
The House Republicans have written and voted for 87 efforts to dismantle the Clean Air Act, 34 against the Clean Water Act, and 128 against pollution measures.
